“True Haunting” on Netflix
I was curious and wanted to watch the show “True Haunting” on Netflix. I watched the first episode, but then was unsure if I should continue watching. At one point, I decided that I would not. I have an instinct of fear and caution when it comes to paranormal stuff. It is not something to play around with. I did have an Ouija board as a child, but I would never attempt to use one now. I am a curious and “need to know” kind of person though, so I did end up watching the rest of the episodes of this 5 episode series. I actually found the stories to be very interesting and now I hope that there will be more. It is not a show though, that I would ever choose to watch while home alone, at least definitely not at nighttime.
I have had paranormal experiences myself. The most remarkable experience was in connection with a job and at the place where I was working. I had been taking care of children for a family in their home, which was also connected to their engineering business. At one point, a lot of strange and inexplicable things started taking place. They were primarily experienced by 3 women, one preschool aged girl and probably a baby who was not yet speaking. It got to the point where it couldn’t be ignored so a lady, who supposedly had a lot of knowledge of the paranormal and could take care of these things, was called in to cleanse and clear the house of the spirit or spirits. Things settled down for a while, but then new activity started up that was even more intense than what had previously taken place. The lady was called back again and we were told that this time it was a poltergeist and not the same presence that things had started with. We all had to leave the home one day while once again the house was supposedly cleansed and cleared of the paranormal presence. Things did get better again and the family and engineering business ended up moving to new locations. How many people ever have such an experience at their place of employment? 🙋♀️ Well me for one. I had some very unnerving experiences.
I found the stories on “True Haunting” to be very believable and interesting because I know from personal experience that these things can be very real. Paranormal has become a culturally popular theme in recent decades. There have been scores of programs, movies and documentaries on the topic as well as popular tourist attractions like ghost tours. People are very intrigued and even excited at the prospect of experiencing ghostly encounters. I remain curious about the paranormal myself, but I also know from personal experience that it is scary as shit and not something that people would really want to experience personally when it is real.
