Why Is Knowing A Good Person A Gift?

 Why is knowing a good person a gift?  This is a thought that just engaged my attention.  I think it is because when we know and interact with good people, we gain information about mature and loving and healthy relationships, and about goodness that we find we would like to maintain and incorporate into who we are.

I of course thought of Martha when writing this.
